Newbie but not a New Quilter
 

Hi everyone. I've been quilting on and off since the 1970's, and I am surely doing a lot more of it since I retired in November of last year.

I'm 58, married with two grown sons. I have two cats.

I'm a bit lost as far as quilting bees and such. I would love to find a daytime group here on Long Island, NY, but most of the published groups meet at night. So if anyone knows of any, please give me a shout out!

I look forward to exploring these boards and making new quilting friends. But for now, it's time to cook dinner.

Thanks everyone, for such a warm welcome. I need to make an album and post pictures, as i made a boo boo on day 1 and posted a link to my personal blogspot blog where almost all of my quilt photos are. I will try to get some recent photos posted tomorrow.

I retired last November too, and we moved from Colorado to Wyoming. Absolutely love where I am, my new sewing room and having all the extra time to sew. Too bad we live so far apart.

Maripose, yet, I do live on LI and am glad that Joanne and I have met and now enjoy a local bee on Wednesdays. So glad we met!
