My name is Mary and I live in the tulip city of Holland, Michigan. I have been quilting now for nearly 2 years (but yet have not finish the quilt that I am making). I never realized that it takes a long time to make a quilt. I like to create my own designs. Right now I am working on a design for a wall quilt to give to my doctor. I had bariatric surgery in November and if it wasn't for the caring hands of my doctor and his staff I could of not of lost nearly 60lbs so far. I want to make a wall quilt for his office to show my appreciation.
I am having a hard time coming up with just the right design for the wall quilt right now. Maybe one of you could give me some ideas.

Hello and welcome from Minnesota!

Years ago when I was living in Michigan, I attended the Holland Tulip Festival. Downtown, there was a very nice quilt show and I remember the dancers in the street. I thoroughly enjoyed wandering through vast fields of tulips in a wide array of colors. I still have a small tulip quilt to commemorate the occasion.

You will learn so much here! Enjoy!

I knew someone from Holland, Mi. Her name is Mary Bahm. She has two daughters, Ginger and Jeniffer.

Just funny because I haven't been in touch with her for 17 years and I have been thinking about her this week. Then there you are Mary from Holland Michigan. Ummm

Welcome from the great state of Texas!

Be sure to check out the Monthly Bee Swaps and join us...it's a lot of fun to swap blocks with people from everywhere!

How about an "hourglass block"...reminds me of a shapely lady! And it's easily made from squares or charms!
