Hi everyone,
My name is Sara and I have been doing some kind of needlework most of my life. I crochet, knit, cross stitch embroidery and quilt. I make 2-3 quilts a year and donate them to a benefit. I have never sold a quilt, but have had people want to buy one. Just a little apprehensive about that. |
Welcome from New York state! If you do decide to sell quilts, don't underestimate yourself, your time or your work. Too often we quilters undervalue our own efforts. Glad you are here!

I love your town! My husband was a consultant to the university there for a year and a half in the early 90s. i enjoyed exploring the area - beautiful. Have a friend from MS who recently moved there. Like you, I crochet, and I used to cross stitch (vision problems), but now I quilt mostly. You will enjoy this board. I have quilted for several decades and am still learning from the members.

When someone offers to buy one of your quilts, Do they understand that you have spent hours and hours on yur quilts? Have you quoted a price to them with this in mind when they offer to buy your quilt.
I think that offering to buy one of your quilts is awsome and if they are shocked at a decent price that you, hope suggest, don't be discouraged. Most people have no idea of the amount of expertize it takes to produce a high quality quilt. Kudos to you. ceegee |
