Hi from Oregon. This site has helpful tutes, check out Youtube and don't forget the helpful people at your local quilt shop. Happy quilting.

You can fold over and stitch it down. Youtube is a great source for quilting. I did one quilt this way and it's fine. Now I usually make my own binding. If it's a special quilt I think doing it by hand makes a nice finish. If it's a kids quilt that will get used/washed a bunch then I'd machine-sew it.
