WELCOME from Daphne, Al. I was born & reared in Joanna, SC and have a daughter, 2 granddaughters, and great grands in Greer. Who knows? You might even know them! You will learn a great deal from this board - I know I have and I have been quilting for a long time.

Call all S.C. quilters an sewers. we should find a common place and meet. I had no idea there is so many from South Carolina. I am and native of Myrtle Beach and still live here.
Let me know if any of you are coming to the area, we can meet.

Hi Cindy, I like the user name you have, "Atomicdog". Is that a musical reference to the George Clinton song?

Atomicdog 09-15-2010 01:49 PM

Quiltzilla - it absolutely is!!! That was one of my all time fav songs lol! How can you not love Bow-wow-wow Yippie-yo Yippie-yay?

I'm also amazed at how many SC folks are here - Lovetoquilt - where is the Greer guild? I know the Foothills Piecemakers (not a member, but I know where they are). Is there another around here?

Cindy

Hello Cindy. Glad you decided to stop lurking and jump in.
Welcome from Argentina.

Quiltzilla 09-15-2010 03:08 PM

If you enjoy George Clinton and the P-Funk gang, you owe it to yourself to see the movie "PCU".
It's a quirky comedy that has a good amount of P-Funk and George.
I'm sure you'll spot it on the dollar rack at Blockbuster.

Cindy - our guild is the Peach Patchers Quilt Guild and we meet at the United Methodist Church fellowship Hall at 301 N. Main St. in Greer. It is across from McDonald"s and the Hot Spot. We meet every 4th Tuesday of the month. I sure hope you will give us a try. Like I said before this is a great group of ladies. Also we meet at 6:30.

Welcome from Springfield, Oregon. I know just what you mean about great at starting, not so good at finishing. I don't know whether this web site has helped me with that or made it worse but it sure is fun! So many great ideas so little time.

Let me know when we can all visit. MB can be reached from anywhere in SC in about 5 hours. Lets all have a
fun visit. Maybe even a PJ party.
