Hello all, I'm new to paper piecing -made a few "dud" blocks already!. Biggest challenge so far are joining units and trying to figure out which order to do this. I had a pattern for a block called "Capital T' that I messed twice-after many hours of work. I may have to switch to an easier block. Have been reading about how to match up those peskie points! Not sure I'm getting it? Any pointers?

will check back later, once my husband wakes up and he can help me navigate through this site, not sure of what to do. I wish I didn't have to rely on him so much for computer issues! ...for now.

Welcome!
from the GGTAW ........ (Greater GTA West!!) Check out quilterscache.come for their PP tutorial. That's where I started, and then after that just went at it and continued on. Once you get the basics, like most things, it's about practice-practice-practice! |
Hello, and welcome to the Board from Minnesota!

Hello from Ontario too! I'm no help because I don't do paper piecing in the usual way. I like the paperless paper piecing method where you fold the paper back, use the 1/4 inch ruler to trim and sew the next piece on. I can't seem to do the regular paper piecing without messing it up. The last time I tried, I ended up Wonder Undering a piece over a missplaced colour. Good Luck!
