, 37yrs old married 20years 2 children 10, 5 and a daschund named Molly. Enjoy knitting, crocheting(not so much, working on it) and desire to quilt more and more. Have one quilt top, unsure how to hand quilt it. I guess I'll just start and see what happens? Made a queen size quilt this last year for a dear lady in our congregation"Encouragement quilt". It turned out beautifully, and a lot of hands went into its completion. She loves the quilt and is encouraged every time she looks at it. I am wanting to start the adventure of making a sue bonnet sue quilt for a dear friend. Although I have little bit of experience and have done some sewing I need HELP. That is why I am signing up for this board. I have another lady at Ralvery talking with me in regards to this project, I have to determine what size, in the process of finding this out.

Wow, thank you for all the warm welcome.
I look forward to being a part of this community. |
I've never introduced myself--tho I have posted a couple times and been into the chat several times also. I've been at quilting for about 15-20 years now. I'm the mom of two and grandma of two. I spent my first career in the insurance industry, then several years ago decided to change just about everything in my life and among other things, moved to a much quieter rural area. Of course, no insurance jobs to speak of here, so I returned to school (post 50 yo, mind you) got into nursing school and was licensed as a registered nurse last year. I'm still a full time student--now online to obtain my bachelors in nursing. This means quilting has had to take a back seat to the education. I think what I love most about the hobby is the friends that I've made over the years. I believe quilters are the most loyal, generous people I've ever known and I've been blessed to meet so many over the years!
