Hi, Just wanted to introduce myself as I have been a member for about two weeks and have just been lurking at looking around the board and learning alot of great stuff.
My name is Stacey and I come from Alberta Canada. I am married and have 3 children. I work outside of the home. I am fairly new at quilting ... I am just taking my first quilting class and tomorrow night is my last night in the class. I am enjoying it so much that I cant wait to start another quilt. I actually have bought enough fabric for 3 more quilts. I am looking forward to all kinds of tips and learn new information on how to go about the quilting and looking forward to getting to get to know you all and have some some. :) Stacey Alberta, Canada |

Welcome to the board Stacey - When you take your last class, ask them if they have a "no cost or low cost" sit and sew you can attend. You can get a lot of free help that way. Let me also encourage you to look a a senior center if you have them in Canada...or a quilt guild....finding a small group of quilters has really been helpful to me as a quilter. Good luck and keep sewing. Be sure to check out our online swaps too.

I like to Thank everyone for the warm Welcomes!!! Very much appreciated.
Also, Jan thanks for the tips and ideas to get together with others in a guild or a seniors place. I will look into this ... I do know where I take my quilting class that they offer quilt days there but it is in the day times and I work full time in the day. But looking into a evening guild or into a seniors place is possible. I will be looking into that. Thanks again!!! |
