Hello from UK, I cannot believe Snowflake is really the name of a place. Especially in Arizona, however did that come about. What a lovely address to have.

Areas across northern & middle Arizona and in the mountains do get snow and ice in the winter. The freeway (I-40) has been closed several times because of snow & ice. One time I was in traffic that was stopped by police about 20 miles east of Flagstaff for over 6 hours during a heavy snowstorm. Lots of snow skiing in the mountains around Flagstaff.

My goodness, that surprises me, I think of Arizona as hot and like a dessert with cacti and such. I am now going to have to google it and have a proper look, thank you for explaining I love learning about your country, it is so varied.

Paula's not kidding about the snow up here! We've already had a couple of freezes at our place this fall, and winter is on its way.
