My name is Barbara. I live in L.A. (Lower Alabama, that is)
I am a quilter and retired school teacher. I have done a little quilting since the late 70's and early 80's. I really got serious about it 4 or 5 years ago. I have dropped all other hobbies to pursue this one. I just can't sew fast enough to complete everything I want to do, but I sure work at it. I have lots of patterns and books and will be happy to share. |
Welcome, Barbara!! I am in Bakersfield, CA. You'll like it here...lots of nice people.

Hi Barbara. Welcome. I, too, came to quilting later in life, after retirement, and I can relate to feeling there isn't enough time to do all that I would like to. However, I plan to do as much as I can and enjoy all of it. I hope you do too.

Welcome from Jonesborough, TN
Glad you are with us! Looking forward to seeing some of your work! |
Thank you very much. i hope you escaped damage from the terrible tornado that ripped through there recently. Are there any good quilt shops in Tuscaloosa? I must usually drive from 20-100 miles to find one. We do have a good discount fabric shop here. Good quality cottons for $3.99 per yard. It may not be this year's fabric, and of course the selection is limited, but I can usually find something that will work.
|
Thank you. I will be traveling to your state in Oct. I dont know if I will have time to shop or not.
