Thank you all for your warm welcomes!! I look forward to getting to know you all much better. I already feel at home here. To answer a few questions-I live in Forsyth GA, right off of 1-75. It is one hour south of Atlanta and 30 minutes north of Macon. I would be happy to post some of my snuggle quilt pictures as soon as I figure out how to do it! I have never been a member of a message board before, so this is all new to me. My daughter is going to walk me through it this weekend.

To tell you a little more about myself, I have been married for 34 years to a wonderful man I met in college. He retired from the Army after 30 years and is now working for a consulting firm in Atlanta. We have moved 16 times and have lived all over the US and in Germany. We have four adult children, 2 boys and 2 girls, three who live in the Atlanta area and one in Macon. (can you figure out why we moved to where we are living?) My daughters are marriend, one has three daughters (ages 2, 3, and 4) and the other is due in the next two weeks (also a girl!!). My greatest joy in life is being "Grammy".

Welcome from Pa.

I grew up in Georgia. About 20 to 30 minutes (depends on traffic) west of Atlanta in Douglas Co.

And another WELCOME!!! This is a great site. Just as good as a quilt guild. Lots of new friends (some with funny names) with lots of info to share regardless of how long you or they have been quilting. Someone said we are "enablers" and that is very true. I just seem to surf from site to site to see what's new or what's on sale. Summer is here and my paycheck has stopped so I need to quit looking at what's on sale! Enjoy the visits.

I know the area. My DH's boss lives in Hampton. I go to Jonesboro Rd to shop quite often. MIL and FIL live in Stockbridge and SIL lives in McDonough. Have you been to Scarlett Thread Quilt Shop on Jodeco Rd?

One way to get motivated is to look at what others have done! If you can think of others, just let us know!
