Don't miss Randy's Quilt Shop in Greensboro! Not to far for you to drive to at all. Nice place, they have good speakers and lessons too.

I have the same problem here. We have moved so much, I have to make new friends, it is hard. I have a couple that will go to quilt shops. But can't find any to travel with me to quilt retreats. My friends can't leave their DH even for a few days. I miss just girl time to hang out at a quilt retreat.

Where in So Cal are you? Several of us go shop hopping. We are in the High Desert.

I sure would love to find a friend like you to shop with too. But I live a loooong ways from you. In Canada.

Thanks so much for making me feel welcome. Moving is very emotional and finding friends, even online is so helpful. I'll try and get in touch with those of you who are local and might be like to do a shopping trip.

Hi,

I wish you luck, I am in the same situation. I lived within a 4 sq. mile radius for 52 years. I have been in Asheville for about 3 years and have no sewing friend.

Blessings,

Sharon in Western NC who would love a sewing buddy.
