I started quilting about 4 years ago, and now teach a beginning quilting series in a local shop here in New Mexico. I've just purchased a used short-arm machine and frame to be able to finish my own quilts. I love to try out new free motion designs. My name here? My adoptive family is Irish and I married into a family whose name means Chain. Nice quilting connection, too. :)

Welcome from Central California!! I also have a short arm on a frame, and I like it a lot. Sometimes I wish it were a mid-arm, but I don't have the $$ or the room for a larger setup. Anyway, you'll like being able to finish your own quilts. Do pantographs....they are so much fun, and the result is just amazing!! :-) You'll get lots of help here if you need it.
