Reader from Texas Introducing Myself
I am not new to the Quilting Board. I have been reading the messages and viewing the photos for quite some time now. I regestered as a member within the last month. I have been sewing off and on since my teenage years (mostly off). I got the quilting bug a couple of years ago.
I am in driving distance of most retail shops so I am never lacking for a place to increase my collection of fabric. Dallas isn't that far away and my daughter and I frequent a shop called "Golden D'or" on Harry Hines Blvd. For anyone in the area that is not familiar with it they have a warehouse full of items. I am supposed to be introducing myself but have sort of missed my intend goal. I am a retired school teacher. I live with my daugher and family, help take care of the children, do most of the cooking since the others work and I have plenty of time to plan meals. Otherwise, I keep busy with quilting, cross stitching. |

Hi, and welcome to the Quilting Board from sunny, southern Nevada! Thanks for finally introducing yourself after reading us for a while. I'm sure you discovered what a wonderful, knowledgeable, fun, supportive group of quilters we are, and who wouldn't want to be a part of that! Honestly, this is a great group, and if you ever have a question, you'll find your answer here. And I know you have accumulated some knowledge, so you can chime in on the posts as well. Such fun we'll have together. As I'm sure you've noticed, using your sense of humor is encouraged around here.
Great to have you aboard. I look forward to seeing you on the posts! |
