Hi, I am Gwenzie. I am new to Quilting Board and fairly new to Quilting. I have taken a few lessons and have enjoyed them. I have been reading the Message Board for a few weeks and have gotten some good pointers. I am searching for a quilt pattern, that I am sure is as old as the hills, but I can not seem to find it. I am going to try to find a picture of it to post, maybe some of you out there can help me. The block is a square with squares within. I need to know the sizes and all the specifics in between. Thanks in advance.

What size is the final square size?
Thanks, Sherryl Candlequilter |
Hello and Welcome to the board :D:D:D
That is a square in a square variation. They have only one square on point, to multiples like yours. Some even have more squares than this one :D |
I'd take a look in ...

Hallo from Western Australia. Its a square in a square in a square in a square! Size of triangles depends on original size of square. Try Janet Wickell on About.com. Somewhere on Janet's pages there is an article on how to work out right size of triangles to use as settings.

Hi, welocme from So. Calif.

I'm working on this block right now using Jodi Barrows Square in A Square Ruler...although its really easy to figure out without it. These are just two of the fancy ways to do it. =)
http://squarequilting.com/ there is also a In the Hoop Machine embroidery design that is really really cool. http://www.kennykreations.com/produc...-in-a-square4/ |
