Welcome from Ireland
|
Hi Ann
I welcome you. Ireland...not yet. I have been to Turkey, Italy, Iceland, but not Ireland. I have many Irish friends...does that count? I have been in aviation and Irish linen has been used for the fabric that covers the small aircraft framing. An article on using Irish linen Working with Irish linen "At The Vintage Aviator Ltd we made the decision early on to try and reproduce early aircraft as accurately as possible." In doing this we like to use original materials and processes wherever we can. Deciding on covering materials and a finishing system was no different; we chose Irish linen for covering and nitrate and butyrate dopes to finish the process. Sourcing Fabric to meet Aircraft Specifications Just some tid bits of information. ... needless to say. Vince |
