Hi! I'm Patrice. I own an etsy shop selling children's clothing (www.mypocketfullofposies.etsy.com). I love to sew and make most of my kids' clothing, but have never made a quilt. I'm hoping to make one for my little girl's new bedroom when we move later this year. Joining up for the tutorials and word's of wisdom.

Welcome from another Texan! I'm in SA. What part of TX are you from? Might find someone who is willing to help you as you learn to quilt. Quilts last longer than kids clothes...least they don't outgrown them.

Welcome from Azle, TX(approx 20 miles nw of ft worth)
You're posting made me smile, because I'm the opposite of you. I learned to quilt first, then started making burp cloths, bibs, and receiving blankets to sell on etsy. My daughter has asked me to make some cute outfits for her toddler, but I don't know how to make clothes. A lady in our church told me recently, "If you can quilt, you can sew clothes." Anyway, there's classes and other helpful resources all over the Metroplex. AND this board has helped me ALOT!! If you are moving somewhere that a Quilt Guild might be close, the ladies there are always very helpful. |
