Kay Ahr. Quilter since 2004. Used to sew my own clothes until all the patterns "shrank." Took up quilting so I could keep sewing and not have to fit anything. And when I was a twenty-something know-it-all sewist, I thought quilting would be boring! Loving EQ7 -- sooooo relaxing!

Welcome to the BOARD from north-central Nevada. Just spent two great days in Reno at the Quilting, Stitches & Crafts Expo.
Did my part for the economy in Reno as did the friends I traveled with,(fabric purchases. We don't gamble). Sunday we traveled to Susanville to the quilt show there and had a great time.

Thanks for the welcome! I don't gamble either, but I did go to Johnny Rockets restaurant that was upstairs at the opposite end of the building. Its retro decor made me want to make a retro kind of quilt! I didn't know there was a show in Susanville! I missed the one in Portola -- just too pooped to drive that day. I prefer the expo over in Sacramento. In 2011 I should be able to go for the first time in several years. I like the big bookseller there! One year it happened to be in Cincinnati while i was visiting my Mom.

Thank you for the welcome! I'm so naughty -- haven't been to any guild meetings this year yet, so I probably haven't met her if she joined a guild in Reno.
