Welcome aboard. I am from Prichard WV. I went to visit my son in Biloxi and they have a shop that sold scraps of material used for Mardi Gras costumes, I bought several bags for almost nothing and now you have given me an idea as to how I am going to use them. Thanks I loved the quilt.

Just to let you know, I put each scrap onto a square of muslin, then used my machine to embroider around each scrap. Time consuming but I think it is well worth it. Also, I tried to make each square a different color.

Most of the pieces that I have contain some kind of glitter or sequins in them. I have tried to do a few blocks, like crazy patch, but don't have very many large pieces. I will try it the way you did yours.
