Welcome from NJ. Baltimore is my home town and I'm so happy to be headed back there for a couple of days next week! Crab cakes, here I come!

Welcome Lar. i'm in Baltimore as well, and like you, am just dipping my toes into the quilting world, with experience in clothes/domestic goods sewing. Have you found a quilt shop to spend your hard earned cash in yet?

Welcome from Oklahoma. I like hearing from new quilters. I started in 1992. Be sure to show us pictures of your work.

I visited Bear's Paw in Towson the other day and they were very helpful, with a HUGE selection of fabric. There's also a tiny place called Domesticity that just opened up on harford road this past weekend—they're much smaller but I was in there talking to the owner tonight and it sounds like it's going to be a really cool place. They focus on a smaller, curated collection of modern fabrics, and they're talking about doing classes and open studio nights. They're probably not for everyone, but they definitely jive with my aesthetic.

Domesticity?? Where on Harford Rd? That's so close! I agree with you about the fabric selection at Bear's Paw. I'm not keen on their class selection. Glory Bee's in Fallston has quite a variety of classes. I've been going up to Aberdeen to Hoppin Bobbin. The staff are wonderful, but the ride is a little too far. I will check out Domesticity and maybe I'll see you there on class night
thanks!
