Hello from Texas, I am a newbie not only to quilting board but to quilting and sewing in gener a ! I am soeexcited to get started and look forward to all the advise I know I can get thur this forum.

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. Post any questions you have and you can usually get an answer on QB. A great resource is the youtube videos. You might like to watch those done by Jenny Doan for the Missouri Star Quilt co.
