Hi, I love to quilt (doesn't everybody?). I have machine quilted for a number of years now, but just started long arm machine quilting about 6 months ago at my LQS. I really enjoy finishing off the project myself. This Sunday I'm attending a wedding shower for my daughter, and giving her and her fiance a quilt that I made with matching wall hanging from the leftovers. I'm so excited to see her reaction!

How do I attach a photo? I tried doing it where it says "attach files", and then hit "submit", but it didn't show up. Jan

This is the quilt I'm giving my daughter. She and my son climbed Kilimanjaro about 6 years ago, and so I thought an African looking quilt would be appropriate. The wall hanging, which is my avatar, is made from the leftover fabrics, and is my own design (elephants marching around in a circle). It's called "Everlasting Love", because of the circle - no beginning and no end. The wall hanging is for my future son-in-law.

this quilt is called "Meet me at the Oasis".

Nope, my Mom and sis can't understand that I spent money and time on that hobby.

    Greetings from Sacramento CA

Love the colors on your quilt.

By the way, I'm the one in the red turtleneck. The other one is the coach that helped me with the long arm quilting. Obviously, I hadn't put the binding on yet. But it didn't take me long to get the binding on at home! I love that part!

Our first (and only) time in California was in February. We flew to San Diego and spent 6 days there before heading off on a cruise. Loved California!

thank you - I just can't wait to give it to my daughter at her wedding shower on Sunday. She will be thrilled, and I think my future son-in-law will be pleased that I made the wall hanging for him.
