Default Trying in Canada

Hello,

I've always LOVED the idea of quilting, and actually made one as a teen when I lived at home from scraps and old material my mom had hanging around. Basically I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it! made a lot of mistakes, but I finished the darned thing and still have it, though it's falling apart

I know I can do better, much better, so I've started a smaller quilt for my son, so that I can once again prove to myself that I can, and more then that, that I enjoy this art. After this one, the hope is that I'm comfortable and confident enough to do a much bigger one for our master bedroom!

I'll take all the help I can get, so far I'm completely self taught. My mother sews, but clothes, she never been interested in quilting. Thank goodness for the internet!

Welcome from Louisiana You will find that many of us are "self taught" however, I find that being active on the Quilting Board I am learning; another way, a better way, a faster way or that my way is right on target. It is your quilt and you enjoy doing it your way.....no rules, no police.....most of all enjoy the process
