Some of the prettiest handmade quilts I ever saw were in Texas. My husbands grandmother was so sweet to let me help her. Grandpa used to help her tye quilts too. They quilted in thier 80's. A great GD brought one to show us at a family reunion. It was soft, beautiful and still being used. They died over 50 years ago.
