Hi! Greetings from Arkansas! I live in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. I have inherited both my Grandmother's and my Great-Grandmother's quilting frames. They are much like furniture and I really don't yet have a place to set them up, but I have hopes for the future. My mother died this past April with breast cancer and I am fighting the same disease. I am planning to win my battle! I thought my first quilt should be a pink one. I am not sure where to start or how to start. I love hand work, so I am thinking maybe that MIGHT be good. (Might not be too! I don't want that to be the only thing I do with the rest of my life!) I have done some small projects and am a painter by trade and skill. I would love to incorporate that into some of the quilts as well. I look forward to getting to know y'all.

Yes, this site is one of my very favorites. The Ribbon Quilt is a great quilt to do.

Greetings and welcome from Oregon! Positive thinking always! You will win the fight. My girlfriend just went through surgery yesterday and is coming home today. She's keeping a good attitude and it will pay off. This is the best place to be for quilting-a wonderful group of people. You will learn lots with the knowledge that's shared here. Can't wait to see your first quilt.
