My advice is to practice FMQ on a practice sandwich first. It takes practice to match the way the machine feeds the quilt thru and be able to hit that same speed (not fast) and move the quilt at the same rate of speed. It also help to look where you are going, not where you are (don't look directly at the needle). I would check out some u-tube videos on FMQ. You have to find out what technique works best for you.
