Yea! Itís more fun that way. Look forward to seeing your blocks.

I am using scraps and stash for the challenge, but confess I bought fabric for the backing.

March is inspired by the Oriole. Here in Ohio, we are more likely to see the Orchard Oriole than the Baltimore Oriole. It’s color is a little more of a burnt orange or russet color. I’m diving into my stash hoping I find the perfect fabric.

Here is the link to the March block instructions.

Default March Oriole Block

I made two blocks again. I tried out the Dub Tuckerís Wing Clipper to trim down the flying geese. I liked it.

The April block has been released. Aprilís inspiration is the Purple Honeycreeper. The Purple Honeycreeper is found in tropical climates and they collect nectar. Hereís a link to the April block:

I have been collecting these blocks (haven't done any yet). They are very pretty. I especially like them with the black background.

Here are my two finished April blocks. I think the April block would make a striking quilt. But ...... I had a bunch of trouble with the points. Beginner with flying geese? Probably.

Keeping up with the 2020 Color Challenge. May is celebrating the parakeet. I did two blocks again using different background fabric. Here is a link to the challenge. May link is available for free until the end of the month. https://patternsbyjen.blogspot.com/2...challenge.html
