I am using scraps and stash for the challenge, but confess I bought fabric for the backing.

March is inspired by the Oriole. Here in Ohio, we are more likely to see the Orchard Oriole than the Baltimore Oriole. It’s color is a little more of a burnt orange or russet color. I’m diving into my stash hoping I find the perfect fabric.

The April block has been released. April’s inspiration is the Purple Honeycreeper. The Purple Honeycreeper is found in tropical climates and they collect nectar. Here’s a link to the April block:

Keeping up with the 2020 Color Challenge. May is celebrating the parakeet. I did two blocks again using different background fabric. Here is a link to the challenge. May link is available for free until the end of the month. https://patternsbyjen.blogspot.com/2...challenge.html

For those of you following the 2020 Color Challenge from Patterns with Jen, the June block was posted on June 1. Here is a link:

The inspiration for June is the Mountain Blue Bird. I think this month’s block is very striking. I had a bit of trouble getting the snowball seams to line up with the checkerboard seams. After seam ripping a few times, I decided to let it go.
Here are my two blocks for the month. Thanks for looking.
