I recently bought the Sauder Harbor View desk and hutch and I am loving it. I get to store some of my scrapbooking supplies in it too.

my sewing table is a blank metal clad door. it was undrilled and i found it in the economy department of things that were sold cheap. one side had some scratches. I put it on brackets made of a length of 2x4 wood mounted to back of bookshelves made of pressboard , each facing out. Painted them so you don't know they are pressboard and mounted a goosneck lamp from commercial sewing machine on top of one of them. If my room had been a bit larger, i would have used a 6' book shelf on one end and mounted cork board on the back as well. At one point this thing was mounted with one shelf and mounting board attached to wall , at one point it was mounted with 1 shelf and two filing cabinets (I had to build up one of the filing cabinets with an old phone book, but no one could tell.
