Default Anyone excited about Judy Martin's new book?

It's all Lonestar patterns. Beautiful quilts. I have tried some of her patterns and they are so complicated and too involved for me . I'm more of a Jenny Doan and Eleanor Burns type pattern person.

I Saw Donna Jordan, Jordan Fabrics, make one of these and she did it with a strip set cut diagonal. Check it out.

I love Judy Martin work. I think this book will have to come into my library. The quilts pictured in the link are absolutely spectacular. I have worked on one in a previous book and her instructions are well done. Thank you for bringing this item to our attention.

Yes, they certainly are very intricate...I admire, but would not think of doing. I, like onebyone, like simpler patterns, that are just as striking. If I wanted to "quit" quilting, that would be my Waterloo! For those who enjoy that type of quilting, have at it!

I love Judy Martin, have most of her books. I’ve made many quilts over the years from her books/ patterns. They are all written well and are easy to follow. I am looking forward to the release of her new book.
her “Piece and Play” book is one I have taught many young people to sew/ piece using many times.

Wow. They are spectacular! But I am with you, onebyone. Jenny keeps it simple for me... and I am loving to watch the Jordan Fabric videos. She does a great job!!!
