Default Beautiful Woven Quilt Blocks from your scrap strips

I came across this little video tute online today, to make a beautiful (and different) block from scrap 2" and 3" strips. The end result is lovely!

I ususally trim my scrapes into 2 1/2" strips, never a 3". But I suppose that using all 2 1/2" strips would work. Will have to give it a try. Thanks for the post...it's nice to make sometjimg new!

I have mostly 2.5" strips too, but I think if I try this I may just cut the strips I need from my yardage.

    Isn't it cute?

That is a very pretty finished block, sewbizgirl. Are you going to try it out?

Eventually I will! I'm currently making the Faux Diamond blocks that I saw on another YouTube video. I just love them!

And... another Boom Swap is about to begin, so I'll be busy making those blocks too. I will get back to a "woven" quilt like in the video, later on when my sewing table is not so full of WIPs. LOL.

I like that! I'm always looking for new scrappy projects. I'm putting this one on the list

I tried making some blocks and there was a lot of ripping involved! I got so confused about what goes where... But finally I have 12. From my experience, I would say to use ALL medium tone fabrics. That is what is best for these.

I think this is the faux diamond you are making? It certainly used up a lot of five in squares. Here is what I ended up with

I think this is one of those blocks that I'd have to use the video to make them. I'd probably get confused too

Yes, I have a top like that, waiting its turn to be quilted. Yours is so intriguing.
