Disappointed at that.

Our WalMart still has fabrics. I was there last night and I also noticed a rise in prices, but they are still chaeper than the only fabric store in town.

Not this time. I am supposed to have a trip to Chicago/suburbs this weekend to visit relatives, if the snow doesn't derail me...want to see what fabrics I can get there instead of the couple of local places.

Was in WalMart on Normandy Blvd. in Jacksonville, Fl. yesterday. Checked with Mgr. who says they are not closing fabric dept., and to let all quilting friends know that. They had increased size of that dept. and were loaded with material. Good prices also.

Yesterday's paper said that WM's quarterly profits were down. The dollar stores are beating WM at its own game. Now is the time for us to write corporate headquarters and explain that more of us would go to WM if they would put back their fabric department. They have restored some of the shoppers' favorite products, so why not fabric?
