    Yhank You. I was looking at a kit very close to this yesterday and it was expensive to buy. You justsaved me a lot of $$$$$.

    The chicken comb and/or the beak could be faced and left free instead of being sewn into the block. Wouldn't that be fun for kids??

    Hey ladies, thanks for linking to my chicken block, and for visiting my blog. I designed it for this mini quilt I did in a swap a few years ago: http://www.flickr.com/photos/1772308...57623606592867
    (the baby chicks are from the Quilter's Ark book, fyi.)

    I did design the chicken's comb to be only attached at the base, but the beak is pieced in. The block got some criticism a while back from another online group because the comb is rooster size, not hen size. But oh well, I like it that way anyway.

    I would love it if you let me know if you make one (or more) of these chickens!
