Thanks. You have just solved my problem for doll quilts for three little girls. I'll do a different color on the back, so that they can tell them apart. I just bought a pinking blade for my rotary cutter, which will give a nice finish for the scrap edges. Thanks again. I can hardly wait to start this project.

Thanks so much for the link. This looks like the perfect project for 7 yr old niece who wants to learn to quilt but who lives in another state. I'll see her next week for a few days & this is something I can pre-assemble, letting her add the patches by hand & take home to finish.
