Default Craftsy is changing again!!

Just got an email they are changing to 'Blueprint'. Everything (they are saying) will not change a bit. Did it ever go through that they were bought out by Comcast?

here is a link to FAQ regarding the change. Note there is a class submission link if you have suggestions for classes. Please lets send them ideas. I signed up for the unlimited and I got a good deal because I got $100 in coupons to buy supplies but I am not happy with the unlimited. No new quilt shows in months. There is a cute behind the scenes bit about Angela Walters but no new techniques. I know there are forum rules about slamming companies and I am not trying to do that but I think if you know of good teachers, ideas for classes submit them! Years ago I submitted one about Winnie Fleming and her border class and they contacted her.

and here is the class submission form

I do like the Unlimited access.

I received a notification about Blueprint this morning. I am curious about it. I love Craftsy Unlimited, and I also own far too many of their classes. It seems like Craftsy is expanding at a very rapidly pace. As someone who loves to create, I am excited that there is an online presence which caters to my needs. Personally, my interests are very diverse and extend far beyond quilting. I'm sure that there are many people like myself who love to learn new things. The market must be huge and the people who own Craftsy are wise to tap into it. On the other hand, there are only so many hours in a day to allot to media, and only so much money I'm willing to spend on classes each month.

I got the same notice. It sounds like the quilting part isn't going to change. I hope not. Just got Unlimited this year and I really enjoy it.

I have watched all the shows I wanted to see on Unlimited and nothing new has been added. I doubt I rejoin.

I will probably go the way of OnebyOne. They don't add enough quilting classes to make me happy. But this year I'm watching as many as I want. I have a few that I bought over the years.

Seems like they are trying to be 'everything to everyone', no doubt to broaden their subscribership.

They are changing their name from Craftsy Unlimited to Bluprint (not Blueprint as I originally thought). They state that they are not raising their subscription price. Craftsy was purchased by Comcast in 2017. I have noticed that there are a lot more cooking shows than there used to be. I also see more machine embroidery classes. In yesterday's announcement, they say that they realize that "many" of their customers are makers, but that they are broadening their offerings to include things like dance and yoga. And as already has been mentioned, they have a form available so that customers can suggest classes that they would like to see. Someone mentioned that they were trying to increase their subscription base. My concern is that since the original company was purchased by a huge conglomerate, the primary audience that Craftsy was targeting will become a small fish in a large pond.

My husband and I share an unlimited account--he likes their woodworking offerings. I really like the subscription. I have a lot of varied interests as well and have submitted a request for soap making classes. I'd also like to see more fabric dyeing classes. I took one, but would love to see additional classes.
