I used GIMP when I taught Computer Applications. I forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder.

I downloaded the software but have yet to figure out how to draw a circle. I want to use it as my starting point for a design I have in mind. Please advise.

Very professional presentation! Thank you SO much! I've often wanted to purchase EQ but couldn't afford it, so this will be a nice alternative!

Thanks so much. I'm old and not really computer savvy but think I'll try this.

Perhaps you all know this page but I found it very interesting. You can very easily design your pieces with this pattern maker from Victoria and Albert Museum:

Quote: I would like to upload into GIMP pics of fabric in my stash. Does anyone know if you can do this? Maybe just save your pic as a .jpg?

Thanks for any help you can give!
I just started this but I put my fabric on my scanner, scanned a copy of it and saved it to my computer to use with the gimp program.

Quote: Shhh - don't tell anyone, but I don't have the faintest idea what GIMP is.
Gimp is an acronym for Gnu Image Manipulation Program. I believe it originated in Linux.

Does this work for a quilt pieced with binding (some people call it sash)?
