I love the Cake Mixes. I bought all the different sets when I first saw how they worked. I copy them on vellum and have never used sewn on the original papers. I can sew a few blocks when I don't have much time. I keep a stack of blocks all sewn with the same solid color and I have enough for a quilt in no time.

Well, isn't that clever. I have a few layer cakes (from Moda) lying around, waiting to be used. I thought I was going to cut them down to charm packs and that just hasn't happened. I will have to check these out! Thank you for sharing.

Love this idea. I haven't found them locally yet but I am hoping they will be available soon. My bee is doing a swap this year where one person provides each member a 10 inch square of focus fabric and we make them a block (they determine the size) then the next month we return all the blocks to them so they can make a friendship quilt.
