I go to equilter.com first and have used them for years. They are very fast and even with shipping included, their prices are comparable/lower than local especially since I mostly buy sale fabric. I love their scrap packs and have gotten them before, it all depends on if they have what you want to collect... it's the bolt ends and the pieces have always been what I would call usable sizes.

I'm usually looking for some pretty specific fabrics when I buy instead of use my stash, so my next stop is Amazon. Through them I've found Fields Fabric in Michigan -- right where the hubby is from. They seem to be a nice local all-around sewing store chain, the type that is disappearing from here and where I would shop if I had the choice

I try and stay away from fabric.com as they are owned by Amazon now. Nothing wrong with Amazon but I would like local quilt shops to stick around so I try and support them as much as possible. Here are a couple local shops I check. One is here in AZ and the other OH where my daughter is from.
