I love the pattern and would like to make it but I must be overlooking or not reading it right as I can not find what size to cut the strip sets for the units. I know one of you lovely ladies will help me.

Hi swanrd... I cut two and a half inch strips.... then cut 2 and a half inch strips the other way, then 4 and a half inches, then 6 and a half inches, then 8 and a half inches.... it works.... don't know where I got that idea from but if you follow the picture you can see where to put those sizes... I love the pattern.... but put them together another way... as mentioned in a message up above....

I am working on mine now and have made 24 of those smaller squares, probably 12 more to go... it looks so nice, put it out on the lounge floor. I am a past master at reversed stitching on this one... (unpicking)... you learn by your mistakes, or at least I do... hopefully the error I made won't happen again.
