A woman there has 3 sewing machines, and 3 garbage bags full of material, bobbins, cutting boards and is asking $300 for all of it - or will sell is separately. If you go to Craigslist.org then to Terre Haute, then to arts n crafts it is listed there - I have emailed her for additional info i.e. pics and am not in a position to buy all of it but wanted the 3 bags specifically - know there is another member from Rosedale/Roselawn which is close to Terre Haute who might be interested???

If I had a good quilting machine and money to spare, I might consider. I'm looking for a really good quilting machine without having to sell the farm.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVERYONE!!!! I just looked at your profiles, and each of you have a birthday in Sept., one just past and the other two coming! Isn't it great being a Virgo? My birthday is the 16th. Go buy some of that sewing stash for your own present. :-D :-D :-D

Thanks. No, It's actually 2" squares fused to grafted fusing material and then turned right sides together and stitched 1/4 inch seams. It's really not complicated but it does take a little time to get the wreath arranged in a pleasing way. Then I added borders and finished like a regular wall hanging.

Thanks for the birthday wish! #52 for me - but since #42 & that fateful day spend more time remembering those who lost their lives that day than I do celebrating my birthday - but rumor is my Mom is making me Chocolate Sheet Cake!!

Yes, but you had that birthday BEFORE 9/11. I know of a local girl who was born on that very day. She can't get away from then talking about the day she was born. I think that'd be worse. 'You tell everyone when your birthday is, and they know instantly what happened the day you were born,' that kind of thing.
Chocolate Sheet Cake sounds yummy!!!
You know what my daughter told me? We'd just been up there at their home in the Chicago area the last full week of Aug., and she told me that they miss me and want us to come up and spend my birthday up there. Her husband had dental appointments for him and the two oldest children on Sat., They have her son's first soccer game of the season, the oldest daughter has a birthday party to go to.... and my daughter is going to a convention for work on Friday and coming home on Sunday..... We'll be watching kids, especially the twins. But it is a fun time. Soon they will grow up and not be as excited to see the grandparents and spend time with us. :)
