Yes, thank you for the tutorial. I can see now that I should have been more consistent in keeping my edges cut to the 1/4 inch after each sewing, I left some of the tails to cut later and found I had a weighted mess to wade through - and in turn I think it threw the pattern off (my first attempt). Thank you, this was very helpful. I definitely will dive back into it again. :-)

I learned so much from this video and think I could actually sew a paper pieced block. I've tried before, wasn't sucessful and was so frustrated that I thought I never wanted to try the technique again.
I've taught myself quilting with the help of quilting shows and videos like this one. I encourage anyone who is thinking about teaching a technique through a video like this, do it! You never know how many people you will be helping. Chris

I agree with SewEasy - classes for me are so far away that I rely on the computer for tutorials and instruction videos like these. I have learned so much - and - you can go back and review any time you need a refresher. Plus, if you have like a laptop in your sewing room, you can just pull it right over to the machine or cutting board and just follow along. Thank you to all of you who take the time to construct these. :-)

From a class that included stack and whack I understood this:

You pile your different color pieces on top of each other.

You cut them according to your pattern.

When you unstack them you have the same shapes in diff colors, so then you just piece them together.
