One of my friends has already shopped at her local store. Not one nearby where I live.

I don't know who came up with April 1, being April Fool's day. I sure that person is passed on by now which is a very good thing. I would have been more than happy to help them meet their maker. I absolutely hate pranks. To get a great laugh at someone else's expense is just mean and often dangerous. That being said many Hancock FAbric stores have been closed and many to follow but they are not related to Hancock's of Paducah!!

The chain called Hancock fabric has declared bankruptcy and are closing all stores......no affiliation to hancocks in Paducah.....but I wonder how the same name is legal....

Disappointed at the liquidation sale. 20% off with a minimum of 2 yards. The original prices seemed high. There weren't many people there for a Saturday. Maybe they will drag it out a while.

The discounts are off the list price, so some shoppers are quite surprised to see the higher prices than they were used to seeing when Hancocks had their sales. It's sad to see so many people losing their jobs.
