Default How to Make A Test Block Without Fabric

I ran across this YouTube video from SewVeryEasy on how to make a test block without wasting precious fabric. Brilliant!

That's great! Another non-sewing item to keep in our studios! TFS

Fantastic video. Not only can I use to test making the block I can test my FMQ idea on it.

I keep a big book of coloured construction paper to use for doing test designs.

What a great idea! I believe my next test block will be done this way. Hard to believe I never saw or though about this before. I suppose you would use a fairly strong paper towel.

What a wonderful idea...thank you for sharing. I follow Laura on YouTube but somehow I missed this one along the way.

I just watched this video and am amazed at never even thinking about this before, I like drawing quilt blocks and coloring them in graph paper (learned this old school way 40 years ago when I started quilting) but actually cutting and sewing paper towels together is brilliant, I’m going to share this with my quilt guild most of whom I haven’t seen since March 2020.

Thanks,
Sandy in Mooresville, NC
