Default HSN has sewing shows today (Friday 8/2), and a machine TSV.

Just a quick note that HSN is showcasing sewing today. There is a Singer machine as the Today's Special that looks really nice...it has many of the features of my Quantum L-500 but for less than half the price. (Not that I want to get the anti-new-Singer lobby on this Board all fired up again...LOL!)

They are also deep discounting one of the Singer Athena machines. There are several shows still coming up today ((11 am-1 pm, 4-6 pm, 9-11 pm Eastern Time).

Here's a link to the machine: http://www.hsn.com/todays-special

I have one of the first models of Singer Quantum. Model 9240. Not the added Stylist title. It is the heavy duty Quantum, metal gears and built to last. The second version changed to non metal parts.

I love this machine. I has never given me one bit of trouble, sews with any brand of thread, smooth and quiet running. I bought it before I got serious into quilting. I think this is the best Singer made since the 301. I have the 301 and this Quantum is like sewing on it but with many more features. LOL The foot control runs on air pressure. I still don't know how that works but it does.

My hubby got me the Singer 1000. I am so anxious at getting it. Love all the feet that comes with it too.

Do you know if that is a regular show - I was too late to watch it.

It was a Todays Special and won't get it at that price again they said and it was a newly release. She said it might be back in six months but not at price I (WE) got it at.

Got this today from Brother with some good buys. My brother 9000SE is a refurbished and is a great machine I paid $140. with 80 stiches.
And I don't have to have a foot peddle to sew with it, with the dogs is great and it has needle up/down too.
