You can buy online from Marshall's just do not let Chuck be your rep there, he tells you one thing and does another.. the prices are good. do not buy bargin fabrics they can be thin and cheap.. buy the name brand fabric... I have several thousand yards from them and only had to send back one order, but do not use their cotton blend solid color fabrics for applique, I have my blocks split on my quilter and have been sick about it for years now as I could not purchase the appliqued fabric anymore.. and I loved it and have not found any fabric close to it again..

I went to Batesville, Ar to Marshalls this week for the first time. The rep we had was James Kelly. James was great and that place is just incredible!

I use Sharon. She sends out emails about all the new arrivals if you asked to be on her email list.

I know this thread is old, but wanted to chime in. James Kelly is my rep and he's really good and helpful. I'm going to the store in early June. I'm hoping the retail side will have some good bargains, plus I'm meeting James to look over the wholesale items as he says they have sales that aren't advertised. Good thing I have a SUV!
One question I have is about sales tax. Do you know if out of staters have to pay sales tax if they pick fabric up from the store?
And another question -- do they also carry discounted notions or is it only fabrics and batting?

I have thought about trying them. How is the quality?

The quality is the same as quilt shops if you buy the name brand fabric. There are all different quality fabrics. I only buy the name brand there and have never paid more then $4 a yard for the designer lines, less if I buy the whole bolt. The two big buildings on the same lot are full of fabric too. They supply a lot of quilt shops.
