SOme people have way too much time on their hands.... but of course that is what they say about quilters. Cute concept but all that is a lot work for a dog bed or rug.

This artist was hired as a visiting resident by our Local Art Guild to make this community quilt. Our art guild does not consider our quilt guild involved in art. While she was in town our quilt show was held. We had over 250 outstanding quilts. A couple of the quilts had been in National Shows and one had been in Houston. She came to the event and was shocked at the level of quilters in our community. She quickly finished her "art" piece and left our community a couple of weeks early instead of staying the entire residency.

I think it is hilarious! When I think of all the stray socks I've thrown away over the years, I would have had a good sized quilt. It is interesting what people will come up with. It is a super way to repurpose stray socks!
