Ironing Board Cover

My everyday ironing board is a built-in model in my laundry room. I purchased a dandy, heavy duty ironing board at a garage sale. There was a good, canvas cover on it but it was grungy. I found the same cover here.

This is a heavy duty cover that fits the ironing board like a glove and as easy to put on as a glove. The cover and pad are made as one. You don't have to fumble around trying to hold the pad straight while putting the cover on top. If anyone is in the market for an ironing cover, you won't be disappointed if you buy this one.
I am not affiliated with this company. Just a satisfied customer.

Joanne's sells that one (except theirs doesn't have the neat pocket). I bought mine with a 50% off coupon and love it. One thing to check- the one from Joanne's can NOT we washed, so I had to replace mine when it got really grungy.

I made my own. Purchased fabric the length of my ironing board. Found a 54" wide piece of very smooth drappery fabric. Took the old one off the ironing board for a pattern, cut the new one out an inch larger all around. Serged all around it first, then folder that over and straight stitched leaving enough to string a cord through. Tightened up the cord, tied it off and fits like a glove. BTW, I did add two layers of quilting batting for padding on top of the old padding. Saved some bucks and have half of my fabric left for another one when this one wears out.
