This is interesting. I wonder if the strips are lined with batting and sewed separately then sewn together. Or a different method making it less tedious. The description doesn't say anything about a backing so the strips must be sewn separate. Maybe like the fabric bowls?

It at least will give you an idea of WHAT you will be doing to achieve the rug. I like to know a bit more about the “how” before I purchase a pattern and find the mystery to maintain marketshare silly and think their sales for the pattern would be larger if not so protective of their “idea” which most likely is not even original.

I went back and actually read the tute I posted. Yep, just as I thought. It is being called “groovin” but was popular to make with polysester pants (cuz they never died) cut into strips and clothesline. Same thing was done by twisting up pantyhose to make the rope and was real nice to step on.
