Thanks for all the inquiries about my method of attaching the binding completely by machine. I have replied to some of you, but thought it might be helpful to give you a link to two tutorials that show you a close version of the method that I use. The important thing about the way that I do it is that when I flip it over to the front, I do not try to cover the previous stitching, but just bring the folded edge up to meet the line of stitching. I then stitch closely to the edge of the binding using a straight stitch.The stitching is very even on the reverse side, and does not waver all over the place. Sometimes, I use a blanket stitch or decorative stitch to attach. I think these videos show the method fairly well. I will post a second link for another method I use for attaching a single layer of binding, in a short while.
