Thank you for this link, I've never seen this site, looks like a great place for quilt backs and all sorts of other stash builders!

I'd rather spend my $$$ at my local quilt stores, want them to stay in business.

$14.99 is more than the highest price at my LQS (except for extra wide backing).....and I will always buy locally if I can. Plus, JoAnn's selection isn't the best. They severely downsized my store a couple of years ago.

When I went to the Machine Quilters Expo in Portland, I noticed that the Canadians all were especially happy--and their arms were full of merchandise!!! When in the US, the Canadians buy! I mean the ladies were STOCKING UP(…mostly thread). Thank you!

I don't think that they would stay in business without their coupons. That's the game that they have chosen to play.

I prefer the LQS type of fabrics... especially when JoAnn's prices have been climbing and some of the quality is terrible. I do use my coupons and purchase rulers, needles, notions etc. that I need or want at the time although I don't go their very often. They are pricing themselves out of business. Frankly I think Walmart has a few fabrics that are not too bad and the price is definitely lower than JA.

I seldom buy JoAnn's fabric, but do buy the notions often (with a coupon).
Thanks, Sheena, for the Marshalls site. Looks good....
