Default Joann's sale

I was hoping the store would have a cheapie jelly roll so I could begin a project I'm dying to try, the Jenny Doan stacks quilt. We went to our local Marden's store but they didn't have any. DH then took me to Joann's and there I was able to find a very pretty roll that was marked at about $12 as I remember. Because they had a sale on it I was able to pick it up at just 1/2 that price.

I expected it would most likely be inferior quality material but, when I opened the roll, it's of very high quality so I'm more then pleased plus I was able to get a pack of fat quarters at the sale as well. Life is good!

You were lucky to have found something that wasn't on sale. Good luck with you next quilt project.

Did you check to see if it was a full jelly roll? Most cheaper ones have only 22 strips. That's why they are half price.

I popped my head into the Portland Marden's about a week ago and my head was spinning... it is so confusing and everything seems to be in disarray. You really need to have a project or fabric in mind in order to shop like that.
Thank goodness I have three wonderful LQS close to my home.

That was the very first thing I did Onebyone, check to see how many were in the roll and there were 42 which is a regular size jelly roll.

Glad you got such a good deal. So many things on sale at JoAnn's and then so many that a coupon is not good for. Congrats!

I have bough the jelly rolls at Joanns with 50% off cupons and they only have the 22 strips but with the coupon it makes them a good buy.
